The Cosmos emerged from the changing rooms donned with clean boots, tracksuits and determined looks. The Strikers emerged with hangovers, drooping cigarettes and general confusion.  Looks can be deceiving and the game proved to be very close and thoroughly enjoyable for (almost) all concerned.  Vine proved his use early on with a sharp turn and lightning pace to beat his marker and set up Rob Dance before turning provider to scorer and securing an excellent first victory in the Surrey Cup.
