After two disappointing results, The Staff Strikers season is back on track with a composed win over new boys, and victims to a 10-1 drubbing in pre-season, AFC Victory.  With the old 3-5-2 formation rearing it's head, Draper's demon free-kick found Wilson in the box who teed up Warne for the opener.  From then on, the away side were in control, and could have scored double figures were it not for the eagerness of the strike force who continually drifted offside.  Victory fought back with a confident move culminating in a dubious penalty for hand ball by Heyes - stroked in before half-time.
The second half started as the game meant to go on with Dance slotting in from a distance before laughter from the watching crowd as Martin was set free, halted in the box awaiting the offside and, when no whistle was blown, passed the ball around the keeper only to see it bobble past the post.  That and he runs like a girl.

Man of the Match: Rob Dance
(but should be Steve McCue for a, playing solidly, b, making marauding runs up the left and c, not wearing men's pants)
